In our school’s dynamic STEAM lab, students recently participated in hands-on activities and an exciting Diwali camp, fostering a love for learning and exploration. Activities included crafting paper and straw planes, exploring the solar system, delving into electronics circuits, investigating mass, weight, and density, buoyancy testing, and a Diwali camp extravaganza.
The paper and straw plane activities introduced aerodynamics principles, honing folding skills, and showcasing the science behind flight. Solar system exploration expanded students’ knowledge of astronomy and sparked interest in the universe. Electronics circuit creations provided practical understanding of circuitry, while investigations into mass, weight, and density deepened their grasp of physics.
Buoyancy testing explored fluid dynamics through engaging experiments, offering insights into buoyant force factors. The Diwali camp celebrated creativity and collaboration, involving parents in crafting fish and magnetic fishing rods for kindergarten students. For 1st to 4th graders, the camp transformed the lab into a NASA Jet Propulsion lab, enhancing engineering skills through balloon-driven experiments.
In conclusion, these STEAM lab activities and the Diwali camp reflect the school’s commitment to nurturing curiosity and a love for learning. Students gained theoretical knowledge and practical skills, contributing to their well-rounded development.
