November 14th is celebrated as Children’s Day in India, observing the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India, who was known to have been fond of children. The day is dedicated to honouring and cherishing the importance of children and their rights.
VVA commemorated the day on the 30thNovember’ 23 for the students of the Primary section. The celebrations began with the teachers reciting the prayer song. Students were elated to see their teachers performing and celebrating the day with zeal and enthusiasm. The children came dressed in casual dresses and relished their favourite snacks with classmates. Various activities were organised for the children of all classes. It was a day full of joy and laughter for the students.
