Vidya Vikas Mandal’s Vidya Vikas Academy hosted the 24th Annual Athletic Meet 2023-24 on 23rd December 2023. The students of class 1 to 12 participated with full confidence, powerful energy and above all, sportsman spirit. The Raia Panchayat Stadium was filled with oodles of power, zeal and competitive spirit. The chief guest for the day was Ms Katya Ida Coelho, Professional Windsurfer and Designer.
A vibrant and captivating Lezim Dance by our vivacious students was a befitting welcome to the dignitaries and the audience. A well co-ordinated march past,displaying synchronisation,unity and determination, was a feast to the eyes. The torch relay by the young and promising sports personalities of Vidya Vikas Academy, who represented the school at the State and National level, filled every heart with pride and ignited the passion of sporting spirit.
The highlight of the day was the School Band comprising sixty talented students-the highest number of students for the first time- who resonated with music, demonstrating precision,discipline, artistic expression and a sense of unity.
The students showcased their prowess in a kaleidoscope of athletic events and drills. The winners were felicitated by the chief guest spurring them on to greater achievements in life. The Tagore house (Green) won the Best House Trophy.
The chief guest, in her address to the gathering inspired and motivated the students to splash the canvas of their lives with spectacular colours of their choice. Vote of Thanks was proposed by the Principal, Mrs Joble Bijoy and the event finally concluded with the lowering of the School Flag.
The event was a wonderful success. The participants, winners and spectators carried back with them satisfaction, fulfilment and a lot of memories.
