Vidya Vikas Academy observed Navy Day to recognize the achievements and role of the Indian Navy. Navy Day is celebrated every year on 4th December to honour the martyrs of the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971. Various activities are conducted nationwide to boost outreach and increase awareness about the Navy among the general public.
A special assembly was organised by the students of class 9 to commemorate the day. The entire programme was compered by Winziah Pereira. Khushi Dalvi (9B) and Antara Gaunkar (9C) began the assembly by speaking the importance of the day .Vineet Mallya,(9C) Jayden Ozorio Fernandes (9C) and Jayden Fernandes (9C)-made an informative presentation about the Indian Navy. This was followed by a video reminiscing the memorable moments of Operation Trident during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971. The highlight of the day was a mesmerizing dance performance, a fervent tribute to the spirit of the nation, by students of class 9A and 9B. An informative quiz was conducted by Chiara Da Costa and the audience participated excitedly. The assembly concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Isaac Faleiro to express gratitude to those involved in the programme.
The students enjoyed the special assembly and were filled with a patriotic fervor and respect for the armed forces which make sure we are safe and fearless.
