On 20th January’24, the Art department of Vidya Vikas Academy organized a visit to the Carpe Diem Art Gallery in Majorda.
25 students from class 5 and 7 were given the opportunity to visit the gallery.
The focal point of the visit was the exquisite art exhibition titled ‘Rustic Rhapsody Returns – An Ode to Goan Villages’ by the talented artist Mohan Naik.The gallery resonated with vibrant expressions of Goan village life, skillfully captured and portrayed by Naik through his masterful strokes and vivid colours.
Each artwork served as a poetic celebration of the rich cultural tapestry of Goan villages, showcasing the artist’s deep connection with his roots. The students were not only visually stimulated but also intellectually engaged as they explored the nuances and symbolism embedded in Naik’s creations. The exhibition proved to be a profound and enlightening experience, fostering a deeper appreciation for the cultural heritage of Goa among the budding minds of Vidya Vikas Academy.
