Republic Day

The 75th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor at Vidya Vikas Academy on January 26, 2024. The event aimed to instil a sense of pride and respect for the Indian Constitution and its values among the students.

The celebrations commenced with a brief introduction by Tr. Archana Verma. This was followed by the hoisting of the National Flag by the school Principal, Mrs. Joble Bijoy and singing of the National Anthem by the entire school assembly.

A cultural programme showcasing the sovereignty and integrity of the nation was organised by the students. After an inspiring speech in Hindi on upholding the values of Democratic Republic, students of class 9 sang a Konkani  patriotic song. A heartrending musical drama depicting the valour of Rani Lakshmibai was performed by the students of Senior Secondary. This was followed by the reading of a poem written by Nathan D’Silva. Dance performance by students of classes 1 to 5 and Marathi Folk Dance by the students of classes 6 to 10 added colour and vibrancy to the event.

Students who have won laurels in various external competitions were acknowledged and awarded certificates. The award ceremony served to motivate the students to strive for excellence.

The vote of thanks was presented by Tr. Ijjatkhanu Mahmed. The program concluded with the singing of the national song ‘Vande Mataram’.
