Educational excursion for the students of class 11 of Vidya Vikas Academy had an incredible and educational experience during their visit to the Sanofi Pharma manufacturing unit at Verna on January 24, 2024. The visit to Pharma company provides students with an overview of the pharmaceutical industry, its role in healthcare and the significance of drug development and manufacturing.
The seminar in the auditorium provided valuable insights into the complex functioning of the pharmaceutical manufacturing system. Observing advanced equipment such as the Raman Spectral Machine, which is based on the principles explored by Nobel Peace Prize Winner CV Raman, was fascinating experience. Additionally, exploring tools like the differential scanning calorimeter, HPLC, thin layer chromatography, gas chromatography and relative humidity-based machines provided the students practical exposure to various analytical techniques used in pharmaceutical industry.
The opportunity to visit the Solid-State Lab enhanced their understanding of the solid-state properties of pharmaceutical compounds, a crucial aspect in drug development and manufacturing.
This visit has contributed to the student’s education and the experience has been fruitful in ingraining within the students an inclination to pursue careers in pharmaceutical sciences.
