On 20th June 2024, a ‘No Tobacco Day’ quiz and poster competition was held at Hospicio South Goa District Hospital, Margao, with participation from 54 schools. The main aim of the competition was to raise awareness on the health risks and dangers associated with tobacco use.
Shourya Shetgaonkar (8C) and Eurico D’Silva (8C) from Vidya Vikas Academy secured the first place, showcasing outstanding knowledge and commitment to a tobacco-free future.
The event successfully engaged students and highlighted the importance of tobacco education. It was not just a competition but a significant step towards sensitising the younger generation to the hazards of tobacco use.
