Vidya Vikas Academy observed Goa Revolution Day on 19th June 2024 to pay tribute to the martyrs of Goa’s freedom struggle. This day holds special significance for the people of Goa as it commemorates the beginning of the resistance movement against Portuguese rule. The students were made aware of the historical event and to appreciate the significant contributions of the revolutionaries who fought for Goa’s freedom.
A special assembly was conducted by students of classes 5 to 8. The students spoke about the significance of the day ,recited a poem on ‘18 June’ and sang a Konkani patriotic song . The highlight of the day was the Goan folk dance performed by the students. A quiz was conducted to enhance the knowledge of students about Goa Revolution Day .
