A special assembly was conducted to celebrate Van Mahotsav on Friday, 5th July 2024.
The main objective of the Assembly was to spread awareness about the significance of trees in our day to day life. Through an informative speech and synchronized dance, the students were made aware of the importance of trees in our lives and ill effects of deforestation.
Further, a workshop on seed bombs was conducted by resource person, Mrs. Aruna D’Costa. The students actively participated in the workshop and created vibrant seed bombs by rolling the seeds within the clay.
A plantation drive was also organized in the school campus to promote afforestation and the growth of trees. The NCC cadets planted saplings and took a small step forward to support the conservation of trees. The children celebrated Van Mahotsav by sowing seeds .Watching the seedlings grow helped them understand how nature works.
The event helped to bring awareness about the green cover around us. It also helped in strengthening the bond between plants and human.
