Vidya Vikas Academy celebrated the Pi Approximation Day by organising various engaging activities centred around Pi, for the students of class 9 and 10.
The main objective is to make Pi Approximation Day both educational and enjoyable, fostering a deeper appreciation for mathematics among students
The day began with a brief history and significance of π, followed by a memorization contest where students showcased their ability to recall the digits of π. Hands-on activities included creating a “Fruit Mania” fruit salad to visualize the concept of π, making models using colored paper to craft bracelets, necklaces, and graffiti using geometrical shapes. Additionally, the event featured exciting games of twos and threes, and a quiz competition to test students’ knowledge of π and its applications. These activities provided a fun and interactive way for students to learn about π, encouraging both creativity and mathematical understanding.
The event concluded with a reflective session where students shared their experiences and what they learned, making the day both educational and enjoyable.
