In June 2024, the STEAM Lab activities for Classes 1 to 6, focused on hands-on projects integrating multiple STEAM disciplines.
Class 1 students built fishing rods and rocket ships, aiming to introduce basic mechanics and aerodynamics, fostering curiosity and foundational physics knowledge. Class 2 explored air-propelled spaceships and balloon cars, enhancing their understanding of air pressure and motion.
Class 3 engaged in magnet fishing and magnet cars, delving into magnetism and material properties, deepening their appreciation of magnetic fields. Class 4 participated in pond fishing and making paper elephant trunks, learning about buoyancy and biomechanics, enhancing their grasp of physical properties.
Class 5 focused on building catapults and projectile-catching mechanisms, exploring levers and projectile motion, improving their engineering skills. Class 6 brainstormed real-world problems, built toothpick and popsicle stick mechanisms for catching balls, and constructed projectile launchers, enhancing their critical thinking and structural engineering knowledge.
These activities nurtured creativity, practical skills, and interdisciplinary learning, providing valuable experiences that bridged theoretical knowledge with real-world applications.
