Vidya Vikas Academy celebrated Guru Purnima on 22 July 2024 to honor and appreciate the teachers who play a vital role in guiding and shaping the lives of students.
The event was anchored by Sarah, who seamlessly introduced each segment. The assembly began with a shloka recitation by Drishya and Anvay, followed by an insightful presentation by Indrajith on the importance of Guru Purnima. Speeches expressing gratitude towards teachers were delivered by Vihaan and Jagrit, capturing the essence of the day. Kavitas were recited by Sana and Ishika, beautifully honoring the dedication of teachers, and couplets (doha) of renowned saints Kabir and Rahim were presented by the students of class 9 and 10, sharing timeless wisdom. A story highlighting the importance of guru in students life was also shown to the students. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Shachi, appreciation for the teachers sincerely expressing.
Students had a deeper understanding of the significant role teachers play in their personal and academic growth. Overall, it reinforces the value of education and the enduring impact of the teacher-student relationship.
