Vidya Vikas Academy celebrated India’s 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and pride. The event aimed to instill a sense of national pride and unity among students and staff alike.
The day began with the solemn hoisting of the national flag by Principal Mrs. Joble Bijoy, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ oath was taken by the students and the oath of loyalty, selfless service and discipline was administered to the NCC cadets.
The cultural programme was a vibrant and patriotic event where the students showcased their talents and national spirit.
Miss Ananya Mathur of class 9 B and Miss Renosha Travasso from 11B delivered inspirational speeches in Hindi and English respectively, filling the audience with pride and patriotism on this glorious day. This was followed by a group song that resonated through the air, stirring deep patriotic sentiments in every listener.” A skit depicting valour and wisdom of legendary Indians was presented by the students of 6 to 12. Thereafter, a vibrant dance performance by the students stole the show
Principal Mrs Joble Bijoy felicitated the students who have brought laurels to the school in various external competitions and sports events.
The programme was compered by Drishya S Warrier of class 9B. The vote of thanks was presented by Mrs Shabeena Khaji. The program concluded with the singing of the national song ‘Vande Mataram’.
Parents attended the programme, reinforcing the spirit of nationalism among all stakeholders.
The Independence Day celebration was not just a commemoration but a reaffirmation of the values that India stands for. It fostered a deep sense of collective belonging among all, leaving everyone inspired and proud.
