A group of 50 students (girls) of classes 8, 9 and 10 from Vidya Vikas Academy, Margao, attended an educational session at NIT, Cuncolim, Goa on 05th October, 2024.
The primary aim of the visit was to provide the students with first-hand knowledge into advanced scientific research and technological development, inspiring them towards pursuing careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) fields.
The visit began with a brief introduction to NIT Goa, it’s history and the different academic programs offered, focusing on various engineering disciplines and research facilities.
The students were given a guided tour of the campus and the speakers highlighted the role of women in the field of engineering. An interactive Q&A session allowed direct engagement with some of the faculty and students of NIT, Cuncolim Goa.
The visit served as a catalyst for inspiration and learning, opening new horizons in the field of technology and scientific research.
