Vidya Vikas Mandal’s Vidya Vikas Academy celebrated its 25th Annual Athletic Meet for the academic year 2024-25 on 13th December 2024. Students from Classes 1 to 12 participated with confidence, boundless energy, and commendable sportsmanship. The Raia Panchayat Stadium buzzed with enthusiasm and a spirit of competition. The chief guest for the occasion was Mr. Nishad Shevde, Head Coach and Founder of SS Tennis Academy, Margao.
A vibrant and synchronized Goff dance performed by our dynamic students offered a warm and delightful welcome to the dignitaries and the audience. The well-coordinated march past, accompanied by the melodious marching music of the School Band featuring eighty one talented students, was truly a visual and auditory treat. Adding to the pride of the event, the torch relay by young and promising athletes of Vidya Vikas Academy, who have represented the school at both State and National levels, inspired everyone with their passion for sports.
In addition to traditional athletic events, displaying strength and teamwork, engaging novelties and drills such as Bamboo Blaze, Zig Zag Run, Slow Cycling, and Umbrella Regiment added excitement and variety to the day’s program. The students showcased their skills and determination across a kaleidoscope of events, leaving the audience enthralled.
Winners of various competitions were felicitated by the chief guest, encouraging them to aim for even greater achievements in life. The coveted Best House Trophy was awarded to the Green House.
Addressing the gathering, the chief guest encouraged the students not to limit themselves in this limitless world and to perceive sports, not just as a co-curricular activity but as a career, a lifestyle and an opportunity for global recognition.
The event concluded on a high note, with participants and spectators alike carrying home a sense of fulfilment, cherished memories, and a renewed zest for excellence.
