World Ozone Day- I6th September 2021

“Let us plant more trees, let us use eco-friendly products to save this planet, save the OZONE”

In 1994, the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed 16 September as the International Day for the preservation of the Ozone Layer, commemorating the date of the signing, in 1987, of the Montreal Protocol to protect the depletion of the Ozone layer.

A special assembly virtual video was uploaded for classes 6 to 10 on 16th September 2021. The theme for this year 2021 is “Ozone for Life: 36 Years of Ozone Layer Protection.”

Students were briefed about the relevance, necessity and significance of the Ozone layer, the efforts on a global scale that have helped in its road to recovery and the need to continuously search for possible solutions to preserve it by eliminating man-made chemicals.
A motivational video on the Ozone layer was shown to the students and they were sensitized on ways they could contribute to this cause.
