The STEAM Lab at VVA aims to encourage students to develop a passion for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) by introducing it to them at a young age and engaging them with cool, new learning spaces featuring Robotics, Electronics, 3D Designing, Aeromodelling, Basic Science, Pottery and Astronomy.
The students of class 1 are taught to identify some basic electrical components present at their home that run on electricity and are also made aware about the uses of such things and the safety precautions to be taken.
The students of class 2, 3 and 4 are exposed to basic electronic circuits. The activities introduced are making a circuit using a graphite pencil and LED.
The STEAM Lab has been nurturing the creativity in the students of class 5 and 6 by teaching them the concepts of Aeromodelling and drone-technology. Aeromodelling involves more of critical thinking and learning about the innovations in this field. The students are taught the basic concepts of flight, the different kinds of drones used in the industry and their uses. The students are given small DIY activities to design and build some mini aircrafts.
