Christmas is a season of joy, love, sharing and giving. This Christmas, the staff of Vidya Vikas Academy made a difference in the lives of the children of Sr Valentina’s little Heaven, Colva by donating generously to help these children in ways they could.
The Sneha Dhara Team organised a donation drive to help these children by providing them with the essential items such as rice, oil, pulses, sugar, salt, milk powder, etc.
The team visited the orphanage on the 18th of December 2021 and handed over the essential goods to the Sister-in-charge. Refreshments in the form of fruit juice and a packet of biscuit were also distributed among the children.
These children were excited on seeing us and welcomed us with their bright smiles. They said a prayer and sang various hymns and songs. In keeping with the festive season, they sang Christmas carol too. At the end they raised their hand in prayer and blessed all of us.
We were truly touched by their gesture.
It is rightly said- The world’s light doesn’t come from the sun, it comes from the Orphan’s smile.
