International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality.

International Women’s Day has occurred for well over a century, with the first International Women’s Day gathering in 1911 supported by over a million people. Today, International Women’s Day belongs to all groups collectively everywhere. This day is not country, group or organization specific.

To commemorate this day, a special assembly was shared with the students on 8th March, 2022. The aim of the assembly was to raise awareness about gender equality in all spheres of life. An informative video on International Women’s Day was a part of the special assembly. At the end, the students were enlightened about the need of celebrating International Women’s Day.
