World water day

World Water Day is observed on 22nd March every year and it focuses on the importance
of freshwater. It is observed with an aim to raise awareness of the people living without
access to safe water. Every year, this day highlights a specific aspect of freshwater. The
theme of World Water Day 2022 is “Groundwater, making the invisible visible”.

In order to spread awareness about the conservation of this natural resource, a special
assembly was conducted by the students of the Senior Secondary section of the school. A video was shown to the students to make them aware of the uses of groundwater and how
important it is for the future generation to take care of this treasure. Students were provided information on what they can do to conserve water at home as well as in school. As water scarcity grows across the world, the importance of groundwater cannot be overlooked. The special assembly concluded with a short film to make the students realise that it is our responsibility to save this precious resource on earth.
