Earth Day, also known as International Mother Earth Day, is celebrated each year on April 22. The main aim is to raise awareness about the growing concerns of overpopulation, loss of biodiversity, and depleting quality of the environment.
As a contribution towards spreading awareness about the ailing health of our planet, students from the Senior Secondary section celebrated ‘World Earth Day’ on Friday, 22nd April 2022. A special assembly was conducted by the students of class XII. The assembly commenced with a short speech on addressing the purpose of celebrating the “World Earth Day”. A video was also screened on how to save Earth by adapting simple methods at home. To conclude the assembly the students took a pledge to revive our planet.
