World Suicide Prevention Day, celebrated annually on 10th September, is organized by the International Association for Suicide Prevention and endorsed by the World Health Organization. The primary aim and objective of celebrating the day is to create awareness among people against suicides.
Students of the Senior Secondary section conducted a special assembly to draw attention to suicide prevention on 16th September, 2022. A street play was performed on the theme “Create hope through action” which effectively reminded everyone that there is an alternative to suicide. A message was conveyed by the students to encourage understanding about the issue, reach out to people who are struggling and share experiences with others.
The assembly concluded with an important reminder that each one is alive for a reason and that we have a chance to leave our mark in the society by living our life in the best possible way.
