Clay Modelling – (aquatic animals)

“There’s something really raw and exciting about grabbing a lump of clay and creating something unique out of it.” – Sara Cox

Clay art modelling is a fun art activity that involves the sculpting and modelling of modelling clay into a variety of shapes and objects. It nurtures a child’s creativity, boosts imagination and imbibes self-confidence.

Clay modelling activity was conducted for classes 1-5 for the month of September. The theme of the activity was ‘Aquatic Animals’ wherein the students participated enthusiastically. Students had to use clay or dough to make any aquatic animals like fish, tortoise, octopus, dolphins, etc. This activity was a perfect platform for creative minds to meet their colourful interests. It helped the students to stimulate their imagination, enhance creativity, eye –hand coordination and develop their motor skills.

It also created awareness about various aquatic animals. The students used their imagination and creativity to make and decorate the models made from clay.
