World Environment Day is celebrated every year on the 5th of June and raises global concern and celebrates the flora and fauna, led by the United Nations Environment Programme UNEP every year.
Vidya Vikas Academy conducted a special assembly on World Environment Day on 8th June 2023 to raise awareness about environmental issues, the increasingly deteriorating conditions, climate change etc. for the classes 6th to 10th.
A short quiz was conducted on the same. Students enjoyed answering the quiz. They learnt about the campaign which is celebrated under the theme #BeatPlasticPollution. It highlights that people’s actions on plastic pollution matter. The steps the government and businesses are taking to tackle plastic pollution are the consequence of this action. It is time to accelerate this action and transition to the circular economy. Students had an enriching experience.
