On 26th June 2023, students of Vidya Vikas Academy, Senior Secondary Section organized a special assembly to mark the occasion of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit trafficking. The assembly aimed to raise awareness among students about the detrimental effects of drug abuse and encourage a drug-free lifestyle.
The assembly commenced with an impactful street play presented by senior secondary students. The play showcased the consequences of drug abuse on individuals, families, and society as a whole. Following the street play, one of our student delivered a heartfelt poem that emphasized the dark reality of drug abuse. With fluency and emotion, the student highlighted the pain, despair, and destruction caused by substance addiction. Through relentless effort, the student had put a visually striking and informative display on the notice board which served as a constant reminder to the staff and students about the ill effects of drug abuse and illicit trafficking and the need to remain vigilant and spread awareness about drug abuse prevention.
This awareness-raising campaign aimed at fostering a sense of responsibility while empowering students to make informed choices and to render the support to those affected by vice of drug and illicit trafficking.
