Electronics play an important part in our day-to-day lives. It is a branch of Physics that
deals with resistors, capacitors, transistors and various such basic electronic
components. With the electronic equipment becoming an integral part of our lives, it has become necessary to brief the students with the functioning of these components, not just theoretically but also with hands-on practice.
Here’s where the Atal Tinkering Lab comes into picture, being equipped with all the
required tools and technology, it plays a major role in inculcating these basic life skills
like understanding and designing circuits into students’ skill set.
Students were trained by helping them connect simple circuits involving resistors,
capacitors, breadboard, buzzers, switches and LEDs. Students were first allowed to
connect circuits virtually using TinkerCAD and later on with physical components.
The month of March also means exams and the summer vacations followed by it. ATL Lab ensures that learning never stops, so a 10-days Summer Camp was organised for the students of class 7 and class 8. During the summer camp, the students were given hands-on practice on basic electronic components like resistors, capacitors, breadboard, buzzers, switches etc. Using this knowledge of the basic electronic components, the students were able to build projects like “Smart Dustbin” and the “ Whack a Mole “ game.
