Vidya Vikas Academy celebrated the French National Day, also known as the Bastille Day on 14th July 2023 to commemorate the storming of the Bastille prison in 1789 and the start of the French revolution.
Students who have opted for French from classes 6 to 9, along with the teachers, Farheen Khan, Shwetambari Parab and Kenisha Vas, put up a programme portraying a glimpse of France. The programme commenced with a presentation on France, the French Revolution, gastronomy and some fun facts about France. This was followed by some student performances like fashion show on famous French personalities by the students of class 6, skit on French Revolution by the students of class 9 and a quiz. The programme concluded with the singing of the French National Anthem ‘La Marseillaise’ by the students of classes 7&8.
It was a celebration with tremendous zest. Glimpses of France and the French culture were what the children took home on this day.
