Debate on – whether live skills such as cooking and public finances should be taught in school

In a thought – provoking and lively debate, students of Vidya Vikas Academy engaged in a discussion over the inclusion of practical life skills, specifically cooking and understanding public finances, in the school curriculum. The debate shed light on the divergent perspectives and insightful arguments put forth by young minds on the importance, feasibility, and potential impact of integrating these skills into their educational journey.

The debate demonstrated a rich spectrum of viewpoints and insights. While proponents highlighted the practical, holistic, and societal benefits of such education, opponents emphasized the challenges related to curriculum management, expertise, age-appropriateness, and parental roles.
