Elocution Competition

Manovikas English Medium School hosted the Inter-school Elocution Competition 2022, on Friday, 8th of July, 2022.

The topics were as follows  :

“Cancel Culture” is more toxic than constructive.

Mental and physical health in school go hand-in-hand.

Has taking selfies increased self-confidence or self-centeredness?

A total of 17 schools participated in the competition and spoke on the above topics. Each student was allowed to talk for four minutes on the topic. All the participants performed exceptionally well, winning accolades for their schools. The competition gave a lot of encouragement and confidence to the performers and audience present there. The speeches were exciting, and judging the winners was difficult.

Keya Nesarkar from class 10C and Vineet Mallya from class 8B represented the school. Keya Nesarkar won third place in the individual category and overall Vidya Vikas Academy won third place.

On completion of the last speaker, the judges were invited on stage to speak a few words of advice for improvement and encouragement. The young and gifted orators had won the hearts of the judges, who were overwhelmed by their oratory skills and preparation. This was followed by the announcing of the winners, amidst thunderous applause. The students’ confidence, expression, and talent made the event truly memorable.
