Vidya Vikas Academy always thrives to cater to the all-round development of their students. The focus of the school has always been on improving the ‘Soft Skills’ amongst the students. With this intention in mind the activity of the month for March was Extempore for the students of Class 6 to 8. The objective of the competition was to make the students confident and be better orators so that they can fearlessly express their views on any topic.
Extempore is an excellent way to assist the students not only in spontaneous thinking but also in asserting their creative ideas with precision.
The competition was conducted in class by the respective teachers teaching English and Hindi in classes 6 to 8.

Class 7 ii) English -My act of kindness or The inspiring movie that I watched recently
Hindi- Online Shiksha ya Offline Shiksha
Class 8- i) Artificial Intelligence – the New Look for Globe,
Hindi- Artificial Intelligence– Ek naye yug ki Shurvat
ii) Saving Mother Earth – Our Responsibility,
Hindi – Prithvi ki Raksha – Humari Zimmedari
The participants delivered their speeches with great confidence and left no stone unturned to give in their best on the topics they were given. They were asked to present their views in the time slot of one minute.
They were judged on the criteria of relevance of the content to the topic, fluency/communication skills and time management. The students showed great fervour and poise in their respective presentation. The extempore activity concluded successfully with words of encouragement and appreciation from the respective subject teachers to their students.
