Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated by the Pre – Primary section on 4th September 2024 with great enthusiasm. Ganesh Vandana was performed to mark the beginning of this festive mood.
The objective of this assembly was to learn more about the festival and to focus on the festival’s themes and celebrations . Few students explained the significance of this festival. A story related to this festival was enacted to show how young Ganesha got his elephant head. Students enthralled the parents with the jingling cymbals moving their feet to the rhythm of ‘Deva Shree Ganesha ” .
The highlight of the assembly were the dance performances with the most exuberant music and colourful attire. The whole atmosphere had positive festive energy.
The students performed the arti using the ghumat and taal (manjira)
The visarjan marked the conclusion of the festive celebration with loud chants of Lord Ganesha and wishing everyone a Happy Ganesh Chaturthi. The message of understanding the importance of eco – friendly practices during celebration was a major takeaway of the programme.
