Vidya Vikas Academy celebrated the completion of 61 years of Goa Liberation Day.
The programme started with a brief introduction by Tr. Reshma Raikar. This was followed by the flag hoisting by the Principal and the singing of the National Anthem.
Miss Shreshtha G. Dessai (Class 8 A) delivered a speech and shared her views about the importance of the glorious day.The students of Classes 1 to 5 and Classes 6 to 10 sang a melodious Konkani songs appreciating the tradition and culture of Goa.
A Konkani skit on “ Mhadei River” was performed by the students of classes 6 to 10.Our School Principal Mrs. Joble Bijoy released the School E-magazine “Vidya Varsha” and distributed the certificates of Art, Science and Sports events to the students on this occasion.
The students of class 1 to 5 presented the’ Dekhni’ dance and students of class 6 to 10 presented a Goan folk dance, “Dhanger” The compere for the programme was Mrs.Yashvi Sambhary.
The vote of thanks was presented by Tr. Sharmila Naik.The program concluded with singing of the national song‘Vande Mataram’.
