A total of 45 students of Vidya Vikas Academy from classes 8-10 attended a sitting of the Monsoon session of Goa Legislative Assembly on August 7, 2024. By attending and observing the question hour, students got a firsthand look at how governance and legislative processes work in real-time. This kind of engagement helps bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, enriching students’ understanding of law, governance, and democracy.
Students got a chance to interact with the assembly members which further enhanced this learning opportunity. A guided tour of the Legislative Assembly premises gave the students a glimpse into the administrative infrastructure supporting the legislative activities.
Overall, this visit provided a valuable extension to their classroom studies, allowing them to see the democratic process in action.
