Vidya Vikas Academy celebrated Human Rights Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. December 10th is observed as Human Rights Day every year to reaffirm the importance of human rights in re-building the world we want, the need for global solidarity as well as our interconnectedness and shared humanity.
On this day in 1948, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The UDHR is a milestone document, which proclaims the inalienable rights that everyone is entitled to as a human being – regardless of race, colour, religion, gender, language and birth.
The theme for 2022 is ‘Dignity, Freedom and Justice for all’.
To commemorate the day a special assembly was conducted on 12th December, 2022 for the students of classes 1 to 10.
The assembly highlighted the recognition of fundamental values of every person by acknowledging and respecting their human rights.
