Vidya Vikas Academy inaugurated the Stargazing Zone facility for its students at the hands of the Principal, Mrs. Joble Bijoy on 23rd December 2022. The school’s committee on Science and Technology organised a sky gazing event which was coordinated by the resource person for the evening, Mr. Devansh Cholera, a mechanical engineer and astronomy enthusiast from Association of Friends of Astronomy. The event kick started with Mr. Cholera’s brief introduction to astronomy with the help of a presentation. Many enthusiastic students, along with their parents were present for the inauguration of the dedicated astronomical space, after which they viewed the planets, Jupiter and Saturn with the help of telescopes. The planet Jupiter along with its four moons was clearly visible. A total of 140 participants were present for the event.
