A Special Assembly was held on the occasion of International Translation Day on 30th September 2023 for the students of class 7. The students of class 7 & 8 conducted the assembly.
The objective of the assembly was to educate the students about the various career opportunities as a translator.
The assembly started with the significance of translation and provided knowledge about the history of translation. To enhance their knowledge a few interesting facts about translation were shared with the students. The students grooved and sang along to the tune of ‘Hello to All the Children of the World.’ A short quiz was conducted by the students of Class 7 & 8 where the audience had to translate song lyrics from English to Hindi, Konkani and French. The children of class 7ABC participated actively. The assembly concluded with a quote by George Steiner.
