Martyrs’ Day, which is more commonly known as Shaheed Diwas, is observed every year in India on 30 January. The day marks the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi the ‘Father of the Nation.’ On this day, the country also pays tribute to all the heroes of the Indian freedom struggle, who sacrificed their lives for the nation.
A special assembly virtual video was uploaded for the Secondary Section classes 6 to 10 on 30th January 2022, highlighting Gandhiji’s contribution towards the independence of our country.
In the presentation the students were asked to maintain 2 minutes silence at 11a.m to pay homage to all the martyrs.
