Trekking through the rain-drenched wilderness of the village of Velim, Vidya Vikas Academy (classes 5ABC & 6 ABC) waded through the gushing streams and rivers, ascended the Baradi Cross steep in Vanxim, Velim. The muddy trails and rolling hills pathway made our students enjoy the trek. To add to our bliss we had a warm welcome of showers of rain.
The students thoroughly enjoyed the monsoon trek. They played different games, collected varied stones and not to forget the “purple crab”.
The students were shown the Betul Estuary from the top of the cliff where the river Sal meets the ocean and to add on the Betul Fishing Jetty was also visible from the top. The students were acquainted with the historic significance of the place.
Students were accompanied by their teachers who kept a watchful eye and maintained the well functioning of the trek.
Students returned home with memories that they would treasure forever.
