Music Activities for 6 to 8

Classroom Activities:

6th Standard:
1. Solo/Group Singing of Latest Songs: In the 6th standard music classes, students were encouraged to explore their singing abilities. They participated in solo and group singing sessions where they learned and performed the latest age-appropriate songs from popular artists.These activities aimed to boost their confidence, develop their vocal skills, and enhance their stage presence.

7th Standard:
1. Rhythm Exercise: The focus for 7th standard students was on rhythm and timing. They participated in various rhythmic exercises that involved clapping. These activities helped improve their sense of rhythm, coordination, and understanding of musical timing, laying the foundation for more advanced musical skills.
2. Open Mic Singing/Instrument Playing Talent Showcase: As part of the talent showcase, students from the 7th standard were given the opportunity to perform individually or in groups. They could showcase their singing talents or display their proficiency in playing musical instruments they were learning. This activity provided a platform for self-expression and nurtured their creativity in a supportive environment.

8th Standard:
1. Vocal Exercise in Tenor and Mezzo: For  8th standard music classes, students with specific vocal ranges, such as tenor and mezzo, were given specialized vocal exercises. These exercises aimed to improve their vocal control, pitch accuracy, and range extension. Special attention was given to developing their unique vocal qualities while ensuring a healthy vocal technique.

2. Singing Latest Age-Appropriate Songs: Apart from vocal exercises, students in the 8th standard continued to explore and perform latest age-appropriate songs. These songs were selected to match their vocal capabilities and interests, allowing them to connect emotionally with the music they sang.
