Vidya Vikas Academy organized a three-day event from 4th Jan to 8th Jan 2024, aiming to celebrate National Mathematics Day and foster an appreciation for the subject, while also encouraging problem-solving skills and commemorating the remarkable legacy of mathematical geniuses.
The event kicked off with an engaging online problem-solving puzzle, the students from class 11 enthusiastically participated in solving a diverse range of mathematical puzzles, the students were introduced to a unique and exciting scavenger hunt wherein the participants collaborated in teams to decipher mathematical clues and solve puzzles strategically placed around designated areas. The observance of Mathematics Day featured a screening of the classic educational film, ‘Donald Duck in Mathemagic Land.’ The documentary, known for its entertaining and educational content, provided insights into the magical world of mathematics.
The event concluded with a short assembly dedicated to National Mathematics Day. The assembly highlighted the life and contributions of Srinivasa Ramanujan, showcasing his remarkable work and the impact he had in the field of mathematics. A brief overview of the history and significance of National Mathematics Day was presented, emphasizing the importance of celebrating and promoting mathematical knowledge and innovation. The commemoration provided the students with an opportunity to enhance their knowledge on the subject while gaining an understanding of the mathematical concepts and its relevance to the real world.
