Report on World First Aid Day

World First Aid Day is observed on the second Saturday of September annually. The observance of this special day raises public awareness about first aid, how it helps in preventing injuries and saving lives of people in times of emergencies. In a crisis, even an ordinary person can save someone’s life by providing first aid.

Anybody can save a life and one doesn’t have to be a doctor to do this. To convey this message to students, a special assembly video on ‘World First Aid Day’ was uploaded on 11th September, 2021. Students were informed about the contents in a first aid kit. The theme of ‘World First Aid Day’ this year is ‘First Aid and Road Safety’. With the increasing number of road accidents occurring with every passing day, road safety is of prime importance for everyone. Keeping this in mind, a few road safety tips were shared through the assembly video. At the end, a message was conveyed to the students to stay safe and also render help to others in dire situations.
