World Nature Conservation Day promotes methods and encourages people to adopt them to minimise the massive harm that humans have already caused to the environment. This day is celebrated on July 28 and it reminds us of the significance of a healthy environment not just for the present generation but also for the generations to come.
Inorder to raise awareness about the conservation of natural resources, a virtual special assembly was conducted for the students of the Senior Secondary Section. The theme of this year is ‘Forests and Livelihoods: Sustaining People and Planet’ which hints at the importance of the co-existence of people and resources on the planet. The different ways by which students can conserve natural resources were included in the video. Students were also informed that the sustenance of resources and their availability for future generations have to be ensured by us, the present generation.
