Sakhar Free shukrawar was observed at Vidya Vikas Academy on Friday, the 6th of October 2023. The SFS is a Conexus Foundation Initiative, supported by Sanofi India, in association with the Department of Health, Government of Goa.
The main objective of the event was to sensitize the students of classes 5-9 about the health hazards of using white, polished sugar in our food. This was achieved through video clips and active interaction with the students.
The session gave the students a lot of insight into the health benefits of using alternatives to sugar, such as jaggery, dates, figs, and fruits.
