The activity of the month for February was Spell – O – Check. It was conducted for the students of classes 1 to 5.
The objective of the activity was to enhance the spelling and literary skills of the children by encouraging them to explore the English language, expand their vocabulary and improve their communication and comprehension skills.
The students were given a list of words to practice beforehand. Two rounds were conducted. In the first round a spelling test was given from a group of words. The second round was conducted in the hall wherein students were asked to spell the given words, unscramble the given word and build new words from a given word. A time limit was set to conduct the activity. The students actively participated in the activities with great enthusiasm.
