The students of Vidya Vikas Academy participated in SUNMUN 2023-24- “Young Think Tanks” Conclave 7.0. VVA delegation comprised twenty three bright minds of classes 9, 10 and 12.
This distinctive 2-day interaction was held on 11th August and 12th August 2023 and students from six renowned schools played the role of global leaders, making decisions and offering solutions to worldwide issues. The objectives were to help the learners:
- learn about diplomacy, international relations and how United Nations functions
- build on learner’s critical thinking
- decision making skills
- learn collaboratively
- enhance social interactions
- develop research skills.
Students participated enthusiastically putting in a lot of efforts. Jaden Rebello (Class 12), Reuben Pinheiro(Class 12), Tevry Brito(Class 10), Vineet Mallya (Class 9) and Lyanna Almeida(Class 9) were identified as the best speakers. Daniel Coutinho (Class 9) received special mention.
This was a great exposure for these budding diplomats interact and collaborate with students from different schools. Preparing and participating in SUNMUN has helped them develop leadership skills, research, writing, public speaking, and problem-solving skills.
