Save birds and the bees, stop cutting down the trees.
Van Mahotsav is translated as a Tree Festival (Forest Day). It is a week-long annual celebration dedicated to Mother Earth and is celebrated from 1st July to 7th July.
The main objective of the assembly was to spread awareness about the significance of trees in our day to day life.
A special assembly was conducted to celebrate Van Mahotsav on Thursday, 7th July 2022, wherein the students of class 5 showcased their skills through a speech, a poem, a skit and singing a song highlighting the importance of trees in our lives and ill effects of deforestation.
Further, a short quiz was conducted on Van Mahotsav.
A plantation drive was also organised in the school campus in coordination with the forest Department to promote afforestation and the growth of trees. The NCC cadets planted saplings and took a small step forward to support the conservation of trees.
A poster making activity on the theme ‘Save Trees’ was held for classes 1 to 5 in order to raise awareness on significance of planting trees.
