Liberation Day is celebrated on 19 December every year to mark the success of Goa’s Independence from the Portuguese rule. Goa was ruled by the Portuguese rule for about 450 years. Goa was Liberated on 19th December 1961. We celebrate this day in remembrance of the freedom fighters and our Indian armed forces who fought to liberate Goa from the Portuguese rule.
The Pre-primary section of Vidya Vikas Academy celebrated Liberation Day through a virtual presentation on 19th December 2021.
