In September 2024, the STEAM Lab activities for Classes 1 to 6 focused on hands-on projects integrating multiple STEAM disciplines.
Class 1 students explored circuits and shapes, introducing them to basic electrical components and geometry, fostering curiosity and foundational knowledge in both electronics and spatial reasoning. Class 2 engaged in group tasks like building towers and constructing Rube Goldberg machines, enhancing their understanding of teamwork, engineering, and cause-and-effect principles.
Class 3 participated in collaboration challenges, encouraging teamwork and problem-solving while reinforcing critical thinking skills. Class 4 focused on creating submersible jumping toys, delving into mechanics, buoyancy, and the properties of materials.
Class 5 explored diodes and LEDs, learning about the principles of electricity and light, and enhancing their knowledge of electronics. Class 6 was introduced to telescopes, focusing on setup and understanding the principles of optics, deepening their appreciation of astronomy and engineering.
These activities nurtured creativity, practical skills, and interdisciplinary learning, providing valuable experiences that bridged theoretical knowledge with real-world applications.
