“Spelling is the foundation of literacy and literacy is the foundation of knowledge”
Vidya Vikas Academy organized ‘Word Busters’ as an activity of the month on December 18, 2023 for the students of classes 6 to 8. The primary objective of conducting this activity is to enhance the student’s language skills, improve vocabulary, and foster a deeper understanding of the English language.
The contest had two rounds. For the Individual round focusing on individual capabilities allowed each student to demonstrate their understanding of spelling, vocabulary, and language rules independently. For the second round, scrambling the unscrambled words where students were required to unscramble words, added an additional layer of complexity to the contest.
‘Word Busters’ provided a holistic learning to the students. It developed their self-confidence and public speaking skill.
